About Bunker Hill Market

Located at Road, 800 W 1st St #101, Los Angeles, CA 90012, Bunker Hill Market operates as a chinese supermarket serving Los Angeles in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under deli, liquor store, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Los Angeles with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in California may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 7 am–11 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (213) 624-1245. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

With 4.2 out of 5 on Google from 229 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range for chinese supermarkets in Los Angeles. Recent reviews are the best guide.

Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Los Angeles is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I stopped into Bunker Hill Market for a few things and liked how easy the trip felt. It had that local market feel where you can grab what you need without dealing with a huge store. Simple, convenient, and a nice spot to have nearby.

I had a very disappointing experience at this store. The staff were extremely rude to me without any reason at all. I was accompanied by my service dog, and I was denied entry without justification. Under federal law, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and California Civil Code Sections 54.1 and 54.2 guarantee full and equal access for people with disabilities, and the right to be accompanied by a service animal without extra charges or discrimination. I hope the management takes this seriously and improves their customer service immediately.

Rude make cashier, he skipped me for any customer who arrive the cashier after me, treating me invisible, then his attitude was rude and non respectful as well as if he does not want to serve me, does not response back to what I said to him with a simple polite question. Very very rude. I can hear multiple times and I see him several times. What kind of ship owner would hire someone like this and let that be. I feel that he may be a sexist and discriminating me as a female or he has a personal discrimination against certain race. I always don’t say anything and just be super polite but this cashier is super disrespectful and would skip people on the queue just because he prefer to serve certain color skin customers first before some other certain race. I have been not saying a word until now I feel like I should leave a review since this cashier’s rudeness has gone to her level after I visited the shop yesterday around 5pm. This is very unacceptable. Snipers beware if you ever choose to shop here you may experience being disrespected and discriminated by a cashier who does not serve you and also does not hand you goods back after paying him that you need to crawl your hand and body

Absolutely love this market, it’s a hidden gem, needs to be protected at all costs, has absolutely anything you need and more. Very clean, good prices, unique finds. And the friendliest staff. Highly recommend this store. Walking distance from most places, and also plenty of parking. Will return. I shop here often

Just stopped by today this is the most beautiful convenience store I have ever been to in LA. They have everything you could possibly need. They also have free 20 min parking. They also had my favorite alcoholic drinks when I was grocery shopping. My new favorite one stop shop. Will definitely be coming back!
